Vincent Fean, the British High Commissioner, visited NCW's Centre on April 30 to discuss NCW's role in Malta with officers of the executive committee.

The meeting focused on current issues that the Council is dealing with: domestic violence legislation and early detection measures, promoting women in public life and capacity building for NGOs to be able to benefit more fully from EU funds.

One of the most popular initiatives with NCW of Great Britain, the Bice Mizzi Vassallo Music Competition, was also discussed.

The winner of this prestigious competition is offered a short residential music course at the Lake District Summer School of Music and hospitality in London provided by the Women's Council in Great Britain.
