A Paola man was yesterday charged with involuntarily injuring two constables at a road block.

Alex Portelli, 28, pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring the constables, causing Lm35 damage to a police car and driving dangerously and recklessly in Blata l-Bajda on January 9, 2002.

Police Inspector Mario Buttigieg prosecuted.

Dr Jason Azzopardi appeared for Portelli.
