A magistrate yesterday ruled there were enough reasons for the indictment of an Englishman charged with seriously injuring three men after a traffic accident.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani-Grima ruled for the indictment of Tristan Scott Haynes, 34, who is pleading not guilty to seriously injuring David Shephard, Joseph Attard and Reuben Briffa in Bahar ic-Caghaq on May 10 at about 10 p.m.

Haynes is also pleading not guilty to involuntarily causing damage to Attard's car, breaching the peace and obstructing the flow of traffic.

Magistrate Padovani-Grima granted Haynes bail against a Lm10,000 deposit and personal guarantee of Lm10,000.

The case continues.

Police Inspectors Kevin Farrugia and Simon Galea are prosecuting.
