Two men were yesterday charged with trying to kill each other in Mosta over the weekend.

Frangisk Fenech, 63, of Mosta pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of John Pace, 38, of Birkirkara on Sunday at about 2.30 p.m. while Pace also pleaded not guilty to shooting at Fenech.

They were both charged with three counts of the illegal possession of a firearm, breaching the peace and relapsing.

Pace alone was charged with trespassing.

The cases continue.

Police Inspectors Geoffrey Azzopardi and Pio Pisani prosecuted.

Dr Raphael Fenech Adami was counsel to Fenech while Dr Pierre Lofaro appeared for Pace.
