A Marsa man yesterday pleaded guilty to smashing a car and then setting fire to it last month.

Joseph Micallef, 24, pleaded guilty to causing damage to Mario Cutajar's car on April 13 and setting fire to it the next day.

He also admitted assaulting and slightly injuring Cutajar.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera put off the case for judgment.

Police Inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.

Dr José Herrera appeared for Micallef.
