Is it strange that in each of the casual elections, apart from the one that elected Joe Debono Grech, the candidate elected was the one who was first on the list? Most people give their second or further preference to the candidate who is first in the party list and keep going down until the last one.

It is an unfair advantage for the Abdillas and the Abelas against the Zammits and the Zrinzos.

Why not choose the order of candidates on the voting sheet by lot?
