Two motorcyclists were seriously injured in separate, dramatic accidents yesterday morning. Neither is in danger of dying, the police said.
The first accident occurred at around 9.30 am. at Bahar ic-Caghaq when a Honda CBR ridden by a 32-year-old motorcyclist from Attard was involved in collision with a Vauxhall Nova car driven by a 34-year-old man from Mellieha.
The motorcycle then crashed into a Hyundai Stellar car being driven in the opposite direction by a 33-year-old from Bugibba. The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. His condition was described as serious but stable.
The second accident took place about an hour later in the St Paul's Bay bypass when a Harley Davidson machine ridden by a 31-year-old from San Gwann was involved in collision with a Ford Escort driven by a man from Mellieha.
The Harley then crashed into a Honda 600 motorcycle ridden by a 28-year-old, also from San Gwann, and the rider of the Harley ended up under a Nissan car driven by a 36-year-old Gozitan.
