A Cospicua woman was put on probation for two years for stealing two bank cards from a Qawra hotel and making use of one of them.

Carmen Magro, 30, pleaded guilty to stealing a BOV Cashlink card and an HSBC Quikcash card to the detriment of Sharon Bugeja and Clifton Borg from Palm Court Hotel on January 23, 2000.

She also admitted defrauding Bugeja of Lm762.75, forging bank documents, making malicious use of the card and another count of forgery.

Police Superintendent Bartholomew Mula and Inspector Geoffrey Azzopardi prosecuted.
