Thirty people donated blood for the first time at the blood donation unit of the Gozo General Hospital in an event organised by the Gozo branch of the Malta Red Cross to mark Red Cross day last Thursday.

The branch also organised a visit to illegal immigrants and refugees in Malta, who were given several essential items bought using donations from individuals.

A bazaar is also being held today and tomorrow at the Arkadia parking lot in Victoria. Money collected from the bazaar will be used to purchase more advanced life support equipment for the Red Cross ambulance on Gozoa
