Gasan launches the Ford Fusion

Gasan yesterday launched the latest "small car" from Ford, the Fusion.

Gasan is also celebrating its 75th anniversary as Ford importers at the same time that Ford is celebrating 100 years of car production.

The Fusion combines attributes of sport utility vehicles, multi-activity vehicles and small hatchbacks to create a "unique" vehicle.

Ford has defined this new car as the first Urban Activity Vehicle and says it offers its driver excellent visibility and easy manoeuvrability.

Headroom, shoulder room and legroom are generous both in the front and rear. Rear-seat passengers also have generous knee clearance and better outward visibility.

Fusion's higher driver position is supported by ergonomically positioned controls that makes driving that much easier.

The Ford Fusion is available in 1.4L petrol, producing 80Bhp, 1.6L petrol producing 100 Bhp and the second-generation common rail TDCi 1.4L diesel engine, producing 68 Bhp.

All are inclusive of air-conditioning, driver and passenger airbags, power steering with a leather steering wheel, in-car entertainment system, fold-flat 60/40 split rear seats, and a host of compartments.
