The Embassy of Malta in Athens has carried out research on Maltese servicemen who are buried in the several military cemeteries scattered throughout Greece, and found that there are about 125 such servicemen, mainly from World War One, following the Gallipoli campaign.

Relatives who may be interested in learning about Maltese servicemen buried in Greece should contact the Embassy of Malta in Athens directly or the Consular, Protocol and Information Matters Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further information.

For the first time, Malta was represented at the Anzac Day commemoration in Athens, held on April 23.

Malta was represented by Ambassador Evarist V. Saliba.
