Nature Trust (Malta) said an eyesore building has gone up in Ta' Cenc, Gozo.

The trust said the site should be declared a garigue park. Ta' Cenc cliffs do not only offer scenic beauty but are also an area of ecological and archaeological importance and of high landscape value, it said.

NT said it had objected against an application filed with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority for development in an area at Sannat which, it says, is outside the development zone.

Attention is also being drawn to a landfill on the garigue in an area known as Tal-Kus in Gozo.
