Three teams will be vying for the Startup Malta Business Plan award at the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel this evening.

The competition, which started last December, is one of a number of projects organised by the Startup Malta Foundation, set up to promote an enterprise culture in the Maltese islands.

The young entrepreneurs behind this foundation are all students.

The three teams, The Second Agent, JAS and Triple D, are vying for a Lm1,000 cash prize for the Best Business Concept.

The prize is sponsored by Startup Malta's corporate partner for this year, the Employment and Training Corporation.

Startup Malta, together with its partners, will also be offering one team the possibility of starting up their own company in a cost effective way through the Startup Malta Package that will offer office space, financial consultation and web designing among other things.

The Business Plan Competition will resume next October. More information about Startup Malta and its projects can be found on the internet.
