Dowty Automotive (Malta) Ltd has made a donation to the Malta Aviation Museum Foundation which is currently raising money to build a small hangar that will be known as the Air Battle of Malta Memorial.
Dowty commercial director Louis Farrugia made the donation to Malta Aviation Museum Foundation director general Ray Polidano during a recent visit to the foundation at Ta' Qali.
Dowty's link to the aerospace sector is through Shamban, the UK-based sister company. Shamban is a specialist in advanced sealing technology for the aerospace industry.
The hangar will house the museum's wartime aircraft together with a permanent display of artefacts and memorabilia related to the second world war.
