Mr World contestant

Matthew Saliba will be representing Malta at the seventh edition of the Mr World pageant being held in London on August 9.

Matthew, who won the title of Mr Maltese Islands last year, is expected to battle tough competition from 50 other contestants for the title.

Mr World is not a body building show, but a contest about style, charm and good looks. It will also test the contestants' spirit with a series of physical and mental tests.

All the contestants will take part in two separate shows - a fashion show where modeling ability and stage presentation are judged, followed by the final show at the Brewery International Conference Centre, UK.

The local contest is organised by Modelle International, run by Sue Rossi and Claudia Calleja, sole licence holder of Miss and Mr World Jersey Limited.
