More mayors ask Sant to reconsider
Twenty Labour mayors on Saturday joined another 12 and signed the letter urging Labour leader Alfred Sant to reconsider his decision not to run for the leadership at the party post-election conference, the MLP said.
The 12 Labour mayors had written to Dr Sant on April 14 urging him to reconsider his decision not to submit his name for the leadership.
Others had expressed the wish to sign the letter as they were unaware it was being sent.
Dr Sant sent the mayors individual replies, the party said.
