Engineer Emanuel Farrugia yesterday sued KullHadd for libel.

Farrugia claimed libel over an article about the new hospital at Tal-Qroqq entitled "Gvern tal-hbieb: sptar fid-dell ta' skandli kbar" (A government favouring friends: a hospital overshadowed by serious scandals) published in last Sunday's edition of the Labour Party newspaper.

He claimed the article exposed him to public ridicule and contempt and called on the Magistrates' Court to award him damages.

Prof. Ian Refalo signed the writ.
