Fund-raising swimathon

A Swimathon Challenge is being held between May 1-4 in the 25-metre indoor heated pool at Razzett tal-Hbiberija, supported by Vodafone Malta. The money raised will help the organisation to continue providing free services to the disabled community.

In the activity teams from various companies, sports clubs and organisations from all over the island will swim laps against a 'sponsorship' collected beforehand by the team members.

Vodafone customers can make donations via SMS to the following numbers: 617513 for a Lm1 donation, 618021 for a Lm2 donation and 618844 for a Lm3 donation.

"Razzett tal-Hbiberija is self-funding, and depends on the generosity of the Maltese people and the fund-raising activities organised by the management of the Charity. Vodafone is delighted to be able to help in this Swimathon which will help Razzett tal-Hbiberija to upgrade its facilities and services for the disabled," Daphne Testa, Vodafone's marketing communications executive said.

Anyone who wishes to take part in the Swimathon Challenge 2003 can form a team and fill in an application form. Forms can be obtained by sending an e-mail to info@razzett.org. Every participating team will be asked to swim for one hour. Children's and family activities will be held throughout the event to entertain non-participants.
