MCAST'S Institute of Business and Commerce marked World Book Day last month to encourage everyone, particularly young people, to discover the joys of reading.
Institute director Yvonne Pulis presented book vouchers to students and staff members. Indigo bookshop also distributed books in different languages.
Students read extracts from various French, Maltese, Italian and English books. These are the languages taught at the Institute, at both MATSEC level as well as for business purposes.
World Book Day was established in 1995 by UNESCO's general conference and is celebrated annually worldwide. The world book day was inspired by a Catalonian tradition.
