Year 3 pupils from Dun Salv Vella primary school, Nadur, recently carried out a day's fieldwork at Lunzjata Valley.

The pupils were accompanied by their teacher Mark Azzopardi and assistant head Maria Buttigieg. This trip was part of their science project organised by science teacher Kevin Refalo. The children walked down the Lunzjata Valley, where they were able to study a biologically diverse habitat.

This was followed by a discussion of their experiences. Pupils were also given worksheets, which were discussed and filled on-site. Such an activity was both interesting and beneficial to students and maked learning an enjoyable experience.
