Overbooking problem dealt with

With reference to the article in the Customer Service Column, on February 16, regarding Air Malta's customer service, I would like to point out the following:

Two members of my family and I were stranded at Manchester Airport on the evening of December 22. The Air Malta representative there was very nice to us. He contacted their offices in London and in Malta. The problem was that although we were booked there were no seats available for us. He provided us with accommodation for the night and a flight back to Malta the next morning. (Rocco J. Sammut)

I thank Mr Sammut for his letter. He and his family were given what they were entitled to. However I must compliment the Air Malta representative on having dealt with the situation so well to make such a positive impression on Mr Sammut.
