Woman injured
A young woman was seriously injured yesterday afternoon when Labour party supporters celebrating on a truck along the hill close to the mosque in Paola threw an empty beer bottle out of the truck, hitting her, reports reaching The Times said.
According to the reports, the woman was a passenger in a car with other passengers on their way to the Nationalist Party mass meeting in Birkirkara. Behind them was another car whose passengers were waving EU flags.
The woman suffered cuts in her lips and broken teeth, and had to be hospitalised.
