Minister Giovanna Debono last week visited the Elderly Male Ward at the Gozo Hospital, which has just been remodernised. This forms part of the Ministry's work to better the health services.

The hospital was and will remain one of the government's top priorities, Minister Debono said. This can be seen from an increase in the number of services offered.

The refurbishment project undertaken at the hospital has already been carried out in many of the wards, including the Emergency and Outpatients departments, the male and female general wards, and one of the operation theatres. A Renal Unit was established, and a residence for elderly women, costing around Lm750,000, was recently inaugurated.
