¤ A one-day seminar entitled "Understanding dyslexia and maximising a dyslexic student's potential" is being organised by the University of Malta - Gozo Centre, on Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
¤ A concert of sacred music will be held at Our Lady of Victories basilica, Xaghra, on Saturday at 8 p.m. The Victory Band, and the Nativitas Choir with soprano Rita Dimech and mezzo soprano Silvana Bonello, directed by Mro Joe Galea, will participate.
¤ For the fourth consecutive year, the Ghaqda Dilettanti Gimgha l-Kbira, together with the Don Bosco Oratory and Victoria council, is staging L-Imsallab Fi Triqatna, a Passion play, in the streets of Victoria, on Sunday at 7 p.m. The performance starts on St Augustine Square (by Don Bosco Oratory).
The cast, who will mingle with the audience, includes Salvinu Cremona as Jesus and Marija Schembri as Our Lady. The Schola Cantorum Jubilate choir, directed by Marouska Attard, will participate. Choreography is by Simone Grech, while set design has been entrusted to Frank Cassar.
