New consignment of Isouard silver coins

Another consignment of silver numismatic coins issued by the Central Bank commemorating the renowned Maltese composer Nicolò Isouard will soon be available to meet demand.

The first consignment has been sold out following particular interest shown by a number of collectors including foreign numismatists.

Those who have not yet taken delivery of the coins they have ordered are requested to call at the Central Bank to collect their order.

Persons visiting the bank will have the opportunity to view the exhibition in the main hall, which displays all the commemorative coins issued to date by the bank.

The Isouard coin is the second in a series of silver coins being issued by the Central Bank to commemorate distinguished Maltese personalities. The first coin featured former Prime Minister Enrico Mizzi.

The silver coin, which has a face value of Lm5, sells at Lm15 (including VAT), and is available from the Malta Coins Distribution Centre at the Central Bank of Malta, Castille Place, Valletta (tel. 2550-0000; e-mail: info@centralbankmalta.com).
