What a shame that Alfred Sant makes a mockery of Maltese democracy, that both the Nationalist Party and the Labour Party fought so much for.

It is a shame to hear the newscaster on the national TV station in Ireland, quote Dr Sant as saying that when the Labour Party is voted to power, his party will get out of the EU.

How can a leader of a country go against the people's vote to join the EU? Does Dr Sant really want Malta to be treated like an Arab country by the EU?

The time will come, at the next general election, when Labour, again, will not be voted into power, and it will all be their leader's fault. I cannot understand why no one from the Labour Party has the courage at all to stand up to Dr Sant. Or is it, maybe, there is no one capable to do so?

I would like to congratulate all those who voted for the EU. As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. And if you even come for a few days to Ireland you would understand what it means to be in the EU.
