A Sta Venera man was yesterday fined Lm150 for assaulting and slightly injuring a nursing aide at St Luke's Hospital.

Leonard Pace, 40, pleaded guilty to threatening, assaulting and injuring Kenneth Ciappara and assaulting PS Silvio Brincat at the hospital on January 12 at about 2.15 a.m.

He also pleaded guilty to causing over Lm50 damage at the hospital, breaching the peace and uttering obscene words in public.

Police Inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.
