Guilty of injuring man
A Fgura man has been conditionally discharged for 18 months for permanently scarring a man in the face.
Silvan Attard, 25, was found guilty of injuring Rodney Gatt and breaching the peace in Fgura on February 13, 2002.
Magistrate Carol Peralta noted that Gatt had forgiven Attard but the charges could not be dropped since criminal action for serious injury had to be taken even without the complaint of the injured party.
Police Inspector Walter Spiteri prosecuted.
