Interprint Limited yesterday requested the registry of the Superior Courts be opened with urgency to file a judicial protest against the General Workers' Union.

In the protest, signed by Andrew Borg Cardona, Interprint said the union had resorted to industrial action that went against the collective agreement.

As a result of the union's actions, the company said overseas clients were cancelling orders. The union was also interfering in the way the company was managed and was not letting the management take the necessary decisions so that the company could move ahead.

Interprint claimed the union's action was putting workers' jobs at a great risk as the company was being forced to suspend its operations.
