The Malta Tourism Authority will be launching a Gozo edition of the Malta, Int u t-Turist series on April 4.

The series consists of an intensive 40-hour programme, conducted by the Malta University Services on behalf of MTA, and is primarily addressed at persons who come in contact with tourists, including employees working in tourism-related establishments and support services.

The course, consisting of 14 weekly sessions held at the University - Gozo Centre on Fridays (from 4 to 7 p.m.) and Saturdays (from 9 a.m. to noon), includes familiarising in economic, social, geographical and environmental aspects of tourism, training in customer relations, and field trips to specific sites in Gozo, thus bringing together the various points touched upon during the programme.

Malta, Int u t-Turist is co-ordinated and sponsored by MTA's Human Resource and Support Services Directorate with the support of the Tourism Unit - University of Malta.
