¤ The feast of St Gregory is being celebrated today in Kercem.

A pontifical Mass, led by Bishop Cauchi, will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Solemn vespers will be led by Fr Raymond Calleja at 4 p.m., followed by procession with the statue of the saint and sacramental blessing by Mgr Gregory Grech, at 5.15 p.m.

¤ Spiritual talks for youths, led by Fr Marcello Ghirlando, will be held at St George's Basilica from tomorrow to Friday at 7.30 p.m., and for children, led by Fr Michael Said, at the Cathedral, from tomorrow to Friday at 4.30 p.m.

In Nadur, Lenten talks are being held for adults, by Canon Michael Galea and Fr Mario Grech, at the parish church, from tomorrow to Friday at 7 p.m., and for youths, by Fr Raymond Portelli, from tomorrow to Friday at 8 p.m.

¤ An outing for the elderly is being organised by the Cathedral parish on Tuesday. The group will leave Savina Square at 8.45 a.m. For more information phone George Debono on 2155-1460.

¤ A coffee morning is being organised by the Ladies' Society of St George's basilica, Victoria, at the Ghajnsielem Respite Centre, on Wednesday. The group leaves the bus terminus at 8.30 a.m. Tickets, at Lm1.50, may be obtained from the parish office or from helpers.

¤ To mark the feast of St Joseph, Bishop Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass at Qala parish church on Tuesday at 6 p.m., followed by a ceremony to honour those who have helped the parish church.

On Wednesday, various pilgrimages will be organised from different parish churches. A diocesan prayer meeting will be led by Fr Marcello Ghirlando at Qala parish church at 2.30 p.m., followed by Mass at 6 p.m.

Bishop Cauchi and the Cathedral Chapter, with the participation of Chorus Ecclesiae Cathedralis, will concelebrate Mass at the Cathedral on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

¤ A high tea is being held at the Leone Band Club on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Tickets, at Lm1.25, can be obtained from Coney Island Bar (tel: 2155-1289).

¤ A diocesan penitential pilgrimage is being held from Gharb Road to Ta' Pinu Sanctuary, on Saturday at 6 p.m., followed by Mass led by Bishop Cauchi at 6.30 p.m.

¤ The musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, in aid of Eden Foundation, Dar Guzeppa Debono and the Gozo section of the Red Cross, is being staged by the Helping Hands Group of Sir Mikelang Refalo Centre for Further Studies, Victoria, at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, on Saturday and Sunday, at 7.30 p.m.

¤ A car boot sale is being organised by the Friends of the Sick and Elderly, at Marsalforn car park, on March 30 from 9 a.m. Tickets, at Lm3 per car, can be bought on the day.
