Funny hats for fund-raising

If you are fed up with politics and want to have a bit of fun, why not join the Magic Malta Hash House Harriers on March 23 for a walk wearing funny hats in aid of the Malta Hospice Movement?

The harriers are inviting all Maltese and tourists on the island to meet at 11 a.m. in Bay Square Centre, Bugibba, wearing a funny hat, although a decorated sunhat will do.

Participants will walk along Bugibba promenade stopping at several spots to make a nuisance of themselves by grabbing people who happen to be close by and dancing with them.

Members of the Phyllisienne Brincat choir will have collection boxes on hand.

The Hash House Harriers in Malta last year organised a 'pub' run in honour of actor Oliver Reed, who died in Valletta during a drinking binge while in Malta playing a role in the blockbuster film Gladiator.
