No contacts were reported yesterday in the dispute between the Union Haddiema Maghqudin and Maltapost over the renewal of the collective agreement and related issues.

The union's section secretary for manufacturing services, Joe Morana, said there was just a "deafening silence".

Mr Morana said the union yesterday protested with Maltapost's management that a member of the management was on a roof taking pictures or film of workers who took part in Wednesday's protest.

Mail went undelivered on Wednesday as employees walked from Maltapost in Qormi to Valletta in protest against the delay in renewing the collective agreement.

A spokesman for Maltapost said the backlog resulting from the action was cleared yesterday.
