Two young men from St Paul's Bay yesterday pleaded guilty to a string of thefts over three years.
Joseph Mary Fabri, 21, and a 19-year-old boy, whose name cannot be published because he was a minor at the time of the commission of one of the crimes, were charged with stealing less than Lm1,000 in items from Joseph Gatt's car and causing less then Lm50 damage in Bugibba on July 9, 2001.
Fabri was also charged with breaking into four cars and damaging them and stealing two bags containing tools and cash in the years before March 3, 2002.
The 19-year-old was also charged with stealing jewellery from his parents' house between September 15 and 30, 2001, stealing a bag containing money in Qawra on September 27, 2000, and damaging a car on August 18, 2001.
The case was put off for judgement.
Police Inspector Geoffrey Azzopardi prosecuted.
Dr Jason Azzopardi and Dr Kris Busietta appeared for the defendants.
