Café Europe, an initiative designed by JEF-Malta to bring together young people on a monthly basis and stimulate discussion of European issues, has been launched with an intercultural evening at Allstars, in Paceville.

The discussion topic of the first edition of the dialogue was "Uniting Cultures - Melting Pot or Coexistence".

"The Café Europe initiative addresses practical challenges facing European youth today, like racism, tolerance and learning how to coexist peacefully in an intercultural living scenario, which is to be our reality in an enlarged Europe," said Steven Attard, president of JEF-Malta.

JEF (the Young European Federalists) is an organisation of European young people who share a vision of a united and democratic Europe, and holds no political party affiliations or commitments.

Active in over 30 European countries, JEF unites youth at all levels to campaign for a united Europe based on peace, democracy, and the rule of law.

Café Europe is held on the first Tuesday of the month, every month. More information can be obtained from the JEF-Malta secretariat at JEFMalta@ socratxt.com
