Floriana council has expressed strong disapproval of the fact that cars were driven onto the granaries during the preparations for an MLP mass meeting last week.

The council also condemned the fact that although there had been contact with the person responsible for the organisation of the meeting, the local council's views were ignored.

The council said it has been fighting to safeguard and conserve the granaries by banning access by cars.
