The Malta Environment and Planning Authority yesterday unanimously approved an application by Bank of Valletta for the conversion of a warehouse at the Drydocks in Cospicua into a Bank of Valletta branch.

The development will include the restoration of what is known as the British Building and demolishing later additions to accommodate the new development.

The development was approved against a number of conditions, including that an agreement shall be entered into between the applicant and Mepa for the phased implementation of the restoration works.
