Gasan-Melita appointments

P. Danny Rosso, currently the managing director of Melita Cable, is taking up the post of chief financial officer at the Gasan Group with immediate effect.

Mr Rosso joined Melita Cable on its formation in 1991, first as financial controller and board secretary and later as a director.

Before that, he was employed for more than 20 years with Bank of Valletta, where his last position was that of group chief accountant.

As chief financial officer, he will be responsible for executing important changes in the Gasan Group on a corporate basis, continuing the process that started in 2002 with the formation of a group holding company, Gasan Group Limited. He will remain a director of Melita Cable.

J.R. Aquilina has been appointed chief executive officer of Melita Cable.

Mr Aquilina joins the company after a long and distinguished career in both the public and private sectors.
