Obituary
AMATO-GAUCI, on March 2, at Mtarfa Home, BERNARD Lt Col OBE, ED (KOMR) aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving children Trevor, Veronique and Charmaine, his sister Victoria, his brother Frederick and his wife Josephine, his sisters-in-law Jesureau, Hilda, and Doris, Doris wife of Dr C. Cassar, his brother-in-law Joe and his wife Evelyn, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 9.15 a.m. at St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated.
May the Lord keep him in the palm of His hands.
DARMENIA GRECH. On March 2, at St Luke's Hospital, MARY, of Paceville, aged 68, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Emma Pizzuto, widow of Michael, Rose and her husband Frank Distefano, and Thèrése, and Henry Distefano, widower of Stella, her nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clare's Monastery, St Julian's will be appreciated.
Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MUSCAT. MARY, 90, from Vittoriosa residing in Paola, widow of Joseph, passed peacefully away on March 2 at St Luke's Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Rose and her husband Charles (known as Karmenu) Camilleri, Johnny and his wife Carrie, Laurence, widow of Gladys, Lino and Doris, Doris and her husband Lino Agius, Josephine and her husband William Hayman, grandchildren and great grandchildren. - R.I.P.

SCIORTINO, SALVINO, 63, from Hamrun residing in Mosta, passed peacefully away at St Luke's Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen née Schembri, children Pierre and his wife Romina, Vincent and his wife Caroline, Mariella and her fiancé Alan Pace, his brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

Lecture On Air Pollution
Prof. Johannes Lelieveld, director of the Airchemistry Division of the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Mainz, Germany, will be giving a lecture on air pollution, in the Science Lecture Theatre at the University of Malta on Friday at 6 p.m.

Links Closure
The road links between Valley Road in Birkirkara and Sta Venera will be closed for works on various days over the coming month, from 10.30 p.m. to 5.30 a.m., the Malta Transport Authority said.
The first section to be affected is the section leading from Sta Venera to Valley Road, today, on Wednesday and Saturday.
Course In Hebrew
A new beginners' Hebrew course will start on March 11. Classes will be held at the University of Malta every Tuesday and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Further information may be obtained on 9980 3593 or on tel. 2152 5367 in the evening.
Lotto Draw
This week's draw of the lotto will be made on Friday instead of Saturday, when the referendum will be held.
The times of opening and closing of lotto offices usually applicable to Saturdays will apply to Friday.
