Dermatology symposium

The first spring symposium of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology concluding today at the InterContinental Hotel, in St George's Bay brought together about 900 specialists in dermatology and venereology from 55 countries.

This is the first time such a meeting has involved non-European countries. A similar congress is being held in Budapest next year.

Important parts of the congress are being transmitted via satellite link up to the Mayo Clinic in the USA and to the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, where the Nobel Prize for Medicine is awarded.
