Carnival mood
The catchy tunes of the dancing competitions got the carnival mood going in Freedom Square, Valletta, yesterday, with the organisers keeping their fingers crossed that the weather would hold. Children's carnival will be held in Freedom Square this morning from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m. and will be broadcast live on TVM and Channel 12. The defilé of floats, masks and dancing troupes will set off around Valletta from Castille Square at 1.30 p.m. accompanied by two German bands, leaving St George's Square to Freedom Square at 6 p.m.
