The second ties from the Kinnie League semi-final play-offs will be played tomorrow at Ta' Qali.

Hamrun Liberty Go Mobile and Siggiewi are currently 1-0 down in the series. The former lost to Pembroke Tumas Group in midweek while Ray Muscat's team had to start with a minus-one handicap as they were paired with regular season top team Fiat Luxol.

Liberty will be seeking to redress the balance this weekend. However, they have to put in a better challenge to entertain hopes of reaching the final at the expense of a formidable Pembroke side.

On Wednesday night, the champions cantered home to a reassuring 68-54 win against Hamrun after the latter crumbled to a 23-1 break from the Reds early in the match.

Hamrun had playmaker Steve Pace back for that game after a long-term injury but he was hardly used. Pivots Albert Spiteri and Jide Jetsen were under tight scrutiny from Pembroke whose shooters were efficient as ever.

Muscat is faced with a problem at Siggiewi as he needs to find a suitable replacement for the injured Adrian Micallef - no easy job from all aspects as regular playmaker Alan Borg is also unavailable.

Luxol have no formation problems and coach John Tabone should present his best formation.

Women's league

First phase runaway leaders Depiro Still start favourites to reach the final, if, as expected, they eliminate Luxol Vodafone.

In the other semi-final, Hibs are facing an uphill struggle after they lost the first game from the series against Naxxar 53-47 in midweek.

Besides being shorn of one of their best players, Doreen Parnis, Hibs also lost captain Lucienne Bezzina three minutes into that game.
