Councils back EU membership
Siggiewi council has approved a motion in favour of EU membership, by four votes in favour and three votes against.
Balzan council also approved a motion recommending a yes vote, with all except one vote in favour, and one councillor excused due to health reasons.
In Swieqi, a similar situation occurred last week, with all voting in favour except one councillor excused for health reasons.
In Gzira, the three PN councillors and an independent councillor voted in favour while the three MLP councillors voted against.
