I fully concur with F. Muscat (February 19) regarding different services given by different departments to queries placed on the new government website servizz.gov.mt.
Like Mr Muscat, I placed two queries involving the department for social policy. In less than 12 hours, I received a phone call from the department asking for more details. In less than 24 hours, not only did the department furnish me with an answer, it also settled the problems. That was a very efficient service. Hats off to the staff of the department for social security.
However, like your correspondent, I was utterly disappointed when placing a query addressed to the Inland Revenue Department. Their answers were evasive, irrelevant and at times highly unprofessional.
