Disability and sailing will be the theme of a talk by Phyllis Ellis Franks at St James Cavalier in Valletta tomorrow at 6.30 p.m.

The talk is being organised by the Malta GC branch of the Jubilee Sailing Trust.

Ms Franks is a stage manageress who recently held a musical concert in Southend as a fund-raiser for the Malta branch of the Jubillee Sailing Trust.

Ms Franks raised £500 which will help the local branch to buy a boat that takes two wheelchairs.

The talk will particularly interest people with physical disability, including wheelchair-bound persons, the sight and hearing impaired and their carers.

It will interest also those interested in sailing.

The Jubilee Sailing Trust is a UK-based charity set up in 1978. Its mission is to enable physically disabled people to enjoy sailing on their specially built tall ships, the Lord Nelson and the Tenacious.
