A magistrate yesterday ruled there were enough reasons for the indictment of a bus driver charged with the manslaughter of a Scottish woman run over in Qawra last month.

Magistrate Abigail Lofaro ruled for the indictment of Mario Mallia, 44, of St Paul's Bay, who is pleading not guilty to the manslaughter of Janet Laing and driving dangerously and recklessly in Tourists' Street on January 25 at about 1.30 p.m.

Police Inspector Paul Bond is prosecuting.

Dr Anglu Farrugia is appearing for Mallia.
