Both political parties have decided to curb some of their activities over the carnival period.

The Nationalist Party has decided not to hold any political activities on either March 1 or March 2, the Saturday and Sunday coinciding with carnival.

The MLP, whose general secretary Jimmy Magro said recently the party planned to hold a mass meeting over the carnival weekend, said yesterday it would not organise one on Carnival Sunday, March 2. However, when contacted, a spokesman said other activities were not yet ruled out.
