Youth Football

The grounds of St Patrick FC and Luxol hosted the opening U-10 Pepsi Football Festivals of the season on Sunday. Due to bad weather, the official opening of the Festivals had to be postponed twice last month but the event on artificial turf finally got underway with the participation of 20 teams. The Festivals, organised by the Youth FA, will run until May 18. They provide the ideal opportunity for young aspiring footballers to practise their favourite sport with more emphasis on basics and skills rather than to win games. The U-12 Festivals kicked off last month at the Centenary Stadium.
