A symposium about the research and conservation of a mediaeval site at Is-Simblija, limits of Rabat, is to be held at the Dragonara Point ballroom of the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian's, on Saturday at 9 a.m.

The research and conservation forms part of the ARAMIS Project about the Arab mills and irrigation systems in the Mediterranean basin.

The speakers will be Prof. Mario Buhagiar, Prof. Alain Blondy, architects Luciano Cessari and Claude Borg, and Paul Saliba, among others.

At the end of the seminar the book "A Study of Landscape and irrigation systems at Is-Simblija limits of Dingli, Malta & Conservation Report" will be launched.

The public is invited to attend.

The book may be ordered from the Department of Information. It may also be bought after the symposium.
