I am not sure whether to be shocked or amused by John J. Mercieca's contribution (January 21). Dreams such as his are surely pernicious. Perhaps it is beyond him to realise that terrorism can wear many different cloaks and even President Bush's crusade...

I am not sure whether to be shocked or amused by John J. Mercieca's contribution (January 21). Dreams such as his are surely pernicious. Perhaps it is beyond him to realise that terrorism can wear many different cloaks and even President Bush's crusade might be interpreted as damnable.

However, I am sure our prime minister will ignore his pathetic plea to open our ports to all warships or to brusquely try to amend our constitution for this reason, because I am sure he is not that simple-minded.

Derisively may I suggest that Mr Mercieca join the navy and leave everyone in peace?
